Hey celiac friend!
Are you ready to become a confident advocate with celiac disease?
Want to get back to traveling, dining out, and doing the things you LOVED pre-celiac diagnosis?
You're in the right place!
My name is Jen, and I'm a gluten-free coach with celiac disease.
I help you become a confident advocate with celiac disease to travel and dine out safely.
Here's the Truth:
Getting a celiac disease diagnosis or going gluten-free isn't a quick switch.
It's a complete lifestyle change that takes time to master and can be hard at any point in your journey!
So if you're frustrated, overwhelmed, or stressed by dining out, traveling, or eating gluten-free...
I've been there too.
I Was Once In Your Shoes...
When I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2009, I had no advice from my doctor except "don't eat gluten."
I got sick in restaurants, blundered in the kitchen with gluten-free recipes, struggled to travel without getting sick, all while developing additional GI problems that took years to heal.
Now I offer 1:1 coaching services to help you avoid those mistakes, enjoy eating gluten-free, and become a confident celiac advocate!
Why I'm Different As A Coach
Teaching is in my Blood
Before starting my business, I was a high school Spanish teacher and earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Teaching. Being coached by me is like being a student in my classroom - where you're treated with respect and encouraged to be the best version of yourself.
Research-Based & Allergen Trained
I have three restaurant allergen trainings to help you dine out as safely as possible. I work closely with a dietitian that specializes in celiac disease to ensure my recommendations are up to date. I also only reference reputable sources of information when giving advice to clients. I know my scope, and I stay in my lane.
I Struggled For Years
Going gluten-free was supposed to be the end of my problems, but it was only the beginning. I spent years struggling with other health issues, including Chronic Urinary Tract Infections, Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth, Lactose Intolerance, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Diarrhea Type. It took a long, long time to figure out all of those problems and heal from them. And I want you to avoid all of that trouble and pain.
How Coaching Can Change Your Life
Compassion & Understanding
Learning from someone that's been gluten-free for over a decade can give you a deeper look at this lifestyle at the beginning, middle, or many years in (especially when you're in the supermarket wondering which $6 loaf of GF bread you should buy.) You're working with someone that has to do the exact same thing as you - and understands how overwhelming and hard celiac can be.
Confidently Speak Up For Yourself
When you successfully dine out at a restaurant, speak up for your diet at a family gathering, cook your favorite recipe that actually tastes good, or take the vacation you've been afraid of going on for months...
That's what gluten-free coaching can do for you - empower you with the confidence, tools, and resources to live your best life with celiac disease.
My Promise To You
I will build you up with confidence and empowerment every step of the way.
I will listen to your concerns and hold space for your pain.
I will help you achieve your goals - and call you out on excuses!
I am here for you and I've got your back - because I once was you, friend.
If I can't help you, I'll recommend someone that can.
